Diminished and altered scales

Concept

Two advanced scales for dominant chords. The diminished scale (W-H-W-H-W-H-W-H, 8 notes) works over dim7 chords. The altered scale (1 b2 b3 b4 b5 b6 b7 — the 7th mode of melodic minor) works over altered dominants (V7b9, V7#9, V7b5, V7#5). Both add aggressive tension that resolves powerfully.
