Reharmonization techniques

Concept

Reharmonization is replacing a song's original chords with different ones that still fit the melody. Common moves: (1) Tritone sub the dominants. (2) Insert ii before every V (turn V into ii-V). (3) Use modal interchange chords. (4) Replace I with vi or iii. (5) Pedal point — keep one bass note as the chord changes above.
