Use the circle to harmonize a melody

Concept

Given a melody note, the circle tells you which chords contain it. Each note belongs to 3 major chords (as root, 3rd, or 5th) and 3 minor chords. Pick the chord whose root note is on the circle near your current key — that's almost always the right harmony.
